Friday belongs to the electronic underground
Saturday belongs to the MAYHEM!
We were going to call it INDIE, or ROCK NIGHT, but
that pigeon-holed the night too much...
SATURDAY NIGHT MAYHEM!
Indie / New-Wave / Alt / Shoegaze / Goth / Pop / Metal / Funk / Grunge / Grebo / Ska
Everything is possible at SATURDAY NIGHT MAYHEM!
Continuing our 10 year smorgasbord of original live gigs, Saturday night is now solely dedicated to bringing you the best music from the parish AND BEYOND!
We continue chasing down bands we love from beyond the ring-road, as well as the very best local ('we didn't burn him' - sorry can't help it when we hear that word) bands from the Megacity of Stourbridge.
As genres always vary (did we mention?) you should:
Always read the label.
IF YOU ARE IN A BAND, AND WOULD LIKE TO GIG AT CLAPTRAP,
HERE'S THE PASS FOR YOU:
DJs & SELECTERS!
IT'S GREAT TO HAVE GUEST DJs BOOKENDING THE BANDS,
AND BRINGING THEIR CHOICE TUNES TO THE PARTY.
Drop us a line once the band/s are confirmed. If you cannot see which band is confirmed (and their style/genre), please do not blindly apply.
Please note: this is for Selector style DJs, vinyl enthusiasts, and
music lovers who play back-to-back choice-tuneage to suit the vibe of the bands.
Other DJs: Please hop over to Fridays DIRECTIONS in DANCE page to get involved!
(please note: this is a work in progress - as of Oct 2026, so, we are still ironing out how to book DJs
to play alongside bands that are not yet actually booked... see what I mean?
Eggy chicken.
All messages are good messages though - so, thank you for getting in touch while we continue ironing out the new super-slick system. Which is a bit wrinkly at the moment!)
